Summary

Description A supposed illustration of how the "Stevens Battery" may have looked had it been completed, as depicted in Scientific American in 1874. The image is a virtual duplicate of an earlier engraving of the United States Navy monitor Puritan,[1] and was probably used by the magazine because there were no available images of the Stevens Battery.
