The Harmanli massacre refers to the mass killing of Muslim civilians near Harmanli in early 1878, during the Russo-Turkish War (1877–1878). Approximately 2,000 to 5,000 Muslim civilians were murdered by the Russian army and Bulgarian collaborators.
