HDMS Absalon (F341) and her sister ship Esbern Snare of the Royal Danish Navy (RDN) are the two members of the Absalon class. The lead ship of the class is named after Danish archbishop and statesman Absalon and received full operational status in 2007. Originally named with the pennant number L16, the ship was reclassified from a "flexible support ships" to an ASW frigate in October, 2020.
