The Battle of Chamba was a military engagement between the Assyrian defenders led by Malik Ismail II, an Assyrian tribal leader, and Artushi Kurdish forces under Simko Shikak in the village of Chamba, Hakkari. This confrontation took place in an attempt to exterminate the Assyrian Christians of the Ottoman Empire during the Sayfo.
