The Spanish expedition to Tlemcen, also known as Tlemcen War was led by Count Alcaudete between 27 January and 8 March 1543 with the aim of overthrowing the Zayyanid king Abu Zayyan III and replacing him with Abu Abdallah VI. The expedition was successful and Abu Abdallah was restored to the throne as a Spanish vassal.
