DescriptionXF2D-1 NAN8-47.jpg	The XF2D-1 (BuNo 99858) prototype of the McDonnell Banshee fighter in flight in 1947. It first flew on 11 January 1947. During the same year the U.S. Navy changed McDonnell's company letter from "D" to "H", and consequently the F2D became the F2H.
