English: Wichai Prasit Fort, on the western bank of the Chao Phraya River in the Royal Thai Navy Headquarters, was constructed around 1685–87 under the supervision of French engineer de la Mare. It was originally named Wichaiyen Fort after the title of Constantine Phaulkon, and was involved in the Siege of Bangkok in 1688 which expelled the French from Siam.
