Summary

Description
English: Seascape drawing shows British sailors leaving their ships and rowing toward Fort Oswego on Lake Ontario during the War of 1812. The 2nd battalion of the Royal Marines, under Lieutenant General Sir George Gordon Drummond, was sent to assist Commodore James Lucas Yeo on Lake Ontario. The British took possession of the fort with minor skirmishing that day.
