Afrikaans: Fries in die heldesaal van die Voortrekkermonument, Pretoria. 'n Insident in die Slag van Italeni op 6 April 1838 word uitgebeeld, wat naby Dingaanstat plaasgevind het. Dirkie Uys verdedig sy gewonde vader, Piet Uys, tot die dood.[1]
English: Frieze in the hall of heroes in the Voortrekker Monument, Pretoria. An incident of the Battle of Italeni on April 6, 1838 is portrayed. Dirkie Uys defends his wounded father, Piet Uys, till overpowered by the Zulu impi.[1]
