Deutsch: Der untere Stadtturm in der oberösterreichischen Stadt Vöcklabruck. Der Stadtturm wurden im 14./15. Jahrhundert erbaut, 1580 um ein Geschoss erhöht und mit einer Turmlaterne versehen. Er schließt den Stadtplatz Richtung Nordosten ab. Das stadtplatzseitige Fresko ist ein Kriegerdenkmal und ein Werk von Rudolf Steinbüchler aus dem Jahr 1932. Unterhalb befindet sich ein Spruchtext von Richard Billinger, der wie folgt lautet: „Wir starben für Dich, uns traf der Lanzenstich, gleich Ihm, der zu Kreuze verblich. Gott wollte den Frieden erhalten, den wir mit dem Tode bezahlten.“ Bei einer Restaurierung des Turmes forderten die Grünen 2014 die Entfernung des Kriegerdenkmals. |
