English: The Liberty ship SS Zebulon B. Vance (Type EC2-S-C1) shortly before its launch on 6 December 1941. It was the first ship to be built at the North Carolina Shipbuilding Company in Wilmington, North Carolina (USA). From 1941 through 1946, the company built 243 ships. SS Zebulon B. Vance was finally scrapped in 1970. |
