Summary

Description The U.S. Navy destroyer USS Watts (DD-567) underway in the Atlantic Ocean in April 1952, while refueling at sea. She is still fitted with World War II-era radars. Note the fuel line connected to her aft refueling station and life jacket clad linehandlers ready forward. The ship providing the fuel, from which this picture was probably taken, is not identified.
