Description
English: 080809-N-0773H-050 BALTIMORE Crewmembers of the guided-missile destroyer USS Sterett (DDG 104) await the command to "board the ship and bring her to life" during the ship's commissioning ceremony at the South Locust Point Marine Terminal in Baltimore. This will be the fourth ship to be named after Lt. Andrew Sterett, a Baltimore native and U.S. naval officer who commanded the schooner Enterprise during the Quasi-War against France from 1798 to 1800, and in the conflicts against the Barabary pirates during the early 1800s.
