Description
English: An Aerospatiale Alouette III helicopter from the Charles de Gaulle, flagship for the Task Force 473, launches from the flight deck of the guided-missile cruiser USS San Jacinto (CG 56) during a transit of the Straits of Hormuz. The San Jacinto, part of the Harry S. Truman Carrier Strike Group, is conducting operations with ships assigned to French Task Force 473 to enhance levels of cooperation and interoperability, enhance mutual maritime capabilities and promote long-term regional stability in the U.S. 5th Fleet area of responsibility.
