DescriptionUSS Repose (AH-16) underway off Point Loma, California (USA), circa in 1952.jpg
English: The U.S. Navy hospital ship USS Repose (AH-16) underway off Point Loma, California (USA), circa in 1952.
Note: The date given "1965/09/08" is questionable, as Repose was recommissioned at the Hunters Point Naval Shipyard, San Francisco (USA) on 16 October 1965. She also has a long "homeward bound pennant", which was traditionally worn by ships returning to the continental U.S. after an overseas deployment. Repose departed San Francisco on 3 January 1966 and was permanently deployed to Southeast Asia from October 1966 to 18 April 1970. The style of painting, the crows nests and the lack radar and TACAN however place this photo in the early 1950s. Similar photos exist from her return from her first Korean War deployment, 11 February 1952.
