Summary

Description The ship's band and other personnel are gathered on the pier alongside the U.S. Navy aircraft carrier USS Oriskany (CV-34) to welcome dignitaries to the ship's commissioning ceremony at the Brooklyn Naval Shipyard, New York City (USA), 25 September 1950. Note that Oriskany´s mast is still on the quay.
