Summary

Description The U.S. Navy heavy cruiser USS Northampton (CA-26) screening an aircraft carrier, circa 1941/42. Northampton was part of the screen of the USS Enterprise (CV-6), together with USS Salt Lake City (CA-25), which is most probably the cruiser to the left. Note the Douglas SBD Dauntless dive bombers in the foreground.
