Description
English: The U.S. Navy light cruiser USS Manchester (CL-83) underway off Korea. All of her 6-inch gun turrets, four of her 5/38 gun mounts and all of her main and secondary gun directors are trained on the port beam.
The photo is dated November 1953, but was actually taken during Manchester's first two Korean War tours, 1950-52.
Oroginal caption: "USS Manchester returning to bombline off coast of Korea after a short rest period in Yokosuka, Japan."
