Summary

Description The U.S. Navy light cruiser USS Manchester (CL-83) firing its 152 mm guns during an exeercise. Manchester was deployed to the Western Pacific from 12 July 1955 to 5 February 1956. At the end of February, she sailed for San Francisco, California (USA), where she entered the Reserve Fleet on 27 February, and decommissioned on 27 June 1956. She was the last Cleveland-class light cruiser in service.
