Summary

Description The U.S. Navy destroyer USS Maddox (DD-731) stands by as a UGM-27 Polaris missile fired by the ballistic missile submarine USS Ethan Allen (SSBN-608) breaks the surface of the Pacific Ocean, during Exercise "Frigate Bird" of Operation "Dominic", 6 May 1962.
