The guided missile destroyer USS Lassen (DDG 82) sails alongside the aircraft carrier USS Carl Vinson (CVN 70) during a scheduled refueling at sea (RAS). The Lassen is on her maiden voyage as part of the Carl Vinson Carrier Strike Group, and will remain in the Western Pacific while the forward-deployed USS Kitty Hawk (CV 63) undergoes scheduled dry dock maintenance.
