Description
English: The U.S. Navy destroyer USS Hudson (DD-475) in the process of rescuing the downed aircrew of a Grumman TBM Avenger torpedo bomber 3,000 metres off the beach of Guam on 21 July 1944. Hudson is painted in Camouflage Measure 32, Design 13D. The photo was taken by an aircraft from the escort carrier USS Chenango (CVE-28).
