Summary

Description
English: The U.S. Navy escort carrier USS Gilbert Islands (CVE-107) being reactivated at the Boston Naval Shipyard, Massachusetts (USA), Gilbert Islands was recommissioned on 7 September 1951. In November, she was moved from Philadelphia to Boston for overhaul. Gilbert Islands finally rejoined the Atlantic Fleet on 1 August 1952.
