English: The U.S. Navy destroyer USS Evans (DD-552) showing her battle damage upon arrival at the Mare Island Naval Shipyard, California (USA), 28 July 1945. She is berthed at the yards ammunition depot. Following the end of the war, Evans was not repaired and subsequently scrapped in 1947.
