Description

The U.S. Navy destroyer tender USS Dixie (AD-14) with six destroyers moored to her starboard side, circa 1970. The ships present are (inboard to outboard):
USS Uhlmann (DD-687),
USS Walker (DD-517),
USS Taylor (DD-468),
USS Boyd (DD-544),
USS Bausell (DD-845) and
USS Richard B. Anderson (DD-786).

Note that each of the four Fletcher-class destroyers carries different equipment. The photo was taken before mid-1969, when Boyd, Taylor and Walker were decommissioned.
