English: The U.S. Navy light aircraft carrier USS Cowpens (CVL-25) in late 1945 or early 1946, with her deck full of passengers. From 8 November 1945 to 28 January 1946 Cowpens made two voyages to Pearl Harbor, Guam, and Okinawa to return soldiers to the United States during "Operation Magic Carpet".
