Summary

Description The U.S. Navy attack submarine USS Blueback (SS-581) lays tied up to the pier at the submarine base at Naval Base San Diego, California (USA), on 23 February 1990. The Blueback, a diesel-electric submarine, was scheduled for decommissioning on 1 October 1990 after more than 30 years of active service. The submarine tender USS McKee (AS-41) is in the background.
