Description
English: Lt. Col. David Sosa, commanding officer of Battalion Landing Team 1st Battalion, 2nd Marine Regiment, 24th Marine Expeditionary Unit, meets Lebanese soldiers while sharing a cup of tea May 13 during Exercise Eager Lion 12. The meeting, which also included Lebanese and Italian service members, was a chance for service members from different countries to meet and discuss upcoming training events. Eager Lion 12 is scheduled to take place throughout the month of May and is designed to strengthen the military-to-military relationships of 19 participating partner nations. This is the second major exercise for the 24th MEU which, along with the Iwo Jima Amphibious Ready Group, is currently deployed to the Central Command area of operations as a theater-reserve and crisis-response force
