Ernest Hemingway (Ernest Miller Hemingway), en el año 1938 estuvo en Capicorb como corresponsal de guerra, y subió a la parte de esta torre que era un punto de observación del Ejército republicano-comunista para observar el frente de guerra de la Sierra de Irta en combate.
