DescriptionStratfield Saye House - geograph.org.uk - 1420575.jpg
English: Stratfield Saye House The southeastern aspect of the house, most of which dates from about 1630. Nearest the camera is the conservatory which was added in 1838. Stratfield Saye was the nation's gift to the Duke of Wellington following victory at Waterloo. The Duke's initial intention was to pull this building down and replace it with a much grander home elsewhere on the estate.
