English: Passenger ferry SS Doomba

Doomba the Brisbane Tug and Steamship Company's 750 GRT, twin screw passenger service vessel, previously the minesweeper HMS Wexford, official number 147468, length overall 231 feet.

Doomba had accommodation for 1,524 passengers and ran a bay excursion service to Bribie Island and Redcliffe from Brisbane. Her maiden voyage on Saturday 24 November 1923 was reported in the Brisbane Courier. (Description supplied with photograph.).
