Summary

Description 428-GX-USN 1149090: Cold War, Soviet Ships. Pacific Ocean. A Soviet Kresta class guided missile armed destroyer leader and an “F” class large attack submarine. These vessels were units of a seven ship task group that cruised through the Hawaiian waters from September 13 to 15, 1971. Photograph released September 14, 1971. U.S. Navy Photograph, now in the collections of the National Archives. (2016/05/03).
