Description
English: Duke Charles (Later king Charles XIII) at the Battle of Hogland on 17 July 1788. Painting by Per Krafft ca 1810.
Svenska: Hertig Karl (Sedermera kung Karl XIII) under Sjöslaget vid Hogland den 17 juli 1788. Målning av Per Krafft ca 1810. Beskrivningen till målningen säger följande:

"Hertig Karl står i fas höger, iförd uniform utan rock men med ordensband och hatt, på signalskeppet ”Konung Gustaf III”. Han håller en ropare i höger hand och pekar med den vänstra. Bakom honom till vänster står flaggkaptenen Nordenskjöld, till höger amiral Wrangel, kapten Bunge, major Erik Klint och fänrik Gustaf Klint. Bakom gruppen mast.

I bakgrunden manskap och segel, längst till höger hissas svenska flaggan på ryska linje-skeppet Vladislaff, allt insvept i rök. Påskrift på en brädlapp i däcket: ”Signal skeppet Konung Gustaf 3:dje 1788”"
