English: Depiction of the Battle of Öland in 1676, between the combined Danish-Dutch fleet, commanded by Cornelis Tromp, and the Swedish fleet commanded by Lorentz Creutz. The battle was a major failure for the Swedes since they lost two of their largest ships, Kronan (foundered by accident) and Svärdet (sunk by a Dutch fireship) with a loss of close to 1,200 men.
Nederlands: Afbeelding van de Slag bij Öland in 1676, tussen de gecombineerde Deens-Nederlandse vloot, onder bevel van Cornelis Tromp, en de Zweedse vloot onder bevel van Lorentz Creutz. De strijd was een grote mislukking voor de Zweden, aangezien ze twee van hun grootste schepen verloren, Kronan (per ongeluk gestrand) en Svärdet (tot zinken gebracht door een Nederlands vuurschip) met een verlies van bijna 1.200 man.
