Description
Svenska: Detalj av akvarell utförd av Elias Martin runt år 1785, visandes den finska galäreskadern av Arméns flotta utanför Vaxholm. Vi ser här skärgårdsfregatten Björn Järnsida, som ursprungligen byggdes 1774 i Karlskrona av skeppsbyggmästaren af Chapman. Den är av typen Turuma. Runt fregatten ses ett flertal jollar och espingar.

Akvarellen är benämnd nederst såsom "Weu af Waxholm och Finska Galär Esqadern" samt signerad med "Signerad E Martin Pinxit. No 13".

Akvarellen har tillhört kronprins Gustaf Adolf och kronprinsessan Margareta.
