English: Shivering Sands, Silhouetted. Four towers of Shivering Sands off-shore army fort can be seen standing majestically out of the Thames estuary. Almost to the centre of the image, appearing as a dotted line on the horizon, is the profile of Red Sands fort TR0779 almost identical in construction to Shivering Sands, but from here appearing as distant as the two forts appear from land - dots on the horizon. |
