This picture was published in 1938 by Lufthansa and lacks information about the photographer. It lost its copyright in 1963 under then current German copyright law from 1940, which gave all types of photographs protection for 25 years. The preceding law, which came into force in 1965, made it possible for some photographs to be regarded as artistic creations with a protection for 50 years after the death of the photographer. This, however, did not apply for photographs that already had lost their protection under the old copyright law, photographs regarded as newspaper photographs, and photographs lacking information about the creator. Photographs regarded as newspaper photographs, as well as anonymous photographs, did not get a 50 year protection until 1985. See section "Geschichte des Schutzes für Fotografien" in [1] in the German Wikipedia.
