Deutsch: Südansicht der Festung Hohensalzburg in Salzburg.
Im Jahr 1077 wurde erstmals auf dem Felskegel unter dem damaligem Erzbischof Gebhard I. von Helffenstein eine Befestigungsanlage über der Residenzstadt errichtet. Sie wurde dann sukzessiv ausgebaut und erhielt ihr heutiges Erscheinungsbild schließlich um 1500 unter Erzbischof Leonhard von Keutschach. Bis heute wurde die Festung Hohensalzburg nie mit militärischen Mitteln eingenommen: [1]. Anlässlich der Feiern 200 Jahre Salzburg bei Österreich im Jahr 2016 „schenkte“ die Republik die Festung dem Land Salzburg: [2]. English: South view of Hohensalzburg Fortress. |
