Deutsch: Dieser Rest der Umfassungsmauer ist das letzte Überbleibsel des sofenannten Glaspalastes der Reichswerke Hermann Göring in Salzgitter, der 1938 errichtet und 1944 bei einem Bombenangriff zerstört wurde. 1982 wurde dieser Mauerrest aus Anlaß des 40. Jubiläums der Stadt Salzgitter renoviert und mit einer Gedenkplatte versehen.
English: This remainder of the enclosing wall is the last remnant of the so-called Glass Palace of the Reichswerke Hermann Göring in Salzgitter, Germany, which was built in 1938 and destroyed in a bombing raid in 1944. In 1982, on the occasion of the 40th anniversary of the city of Salzgitter, this section of the wall was renovated and a furnished with a memorial plaque. |
