Description
English: The Racehorse and Carcass forcing through the Ice, August 10th, 1773

Technique includes engraving. The Racehorse led the expedition since she was the faster vessel and hosted the expedition (a voyage to the North Pole) commander, Constantine Phipps. The Racehorse is in the foreground on the right hand side of the picture, and the Carcass is in the midground to the left.
