English: 180601-N-KV911-0032 (PEARL HARBOR) Republic of Korea submarine ROKS Park Wi (SS 065) arrives at Joint Base Pearl Harbor-HIckam for routine training in the Hawaiian operations area and preparations for the Rim of the Pacific (RIMPAC) exercise 2018, June 1. Twenty-six nations, 47 ships, five submarines, about 200 aircraft, and 25,000 personnel will participate in RIMPAC from June 27 to Aug. 2 in and around the Hawaiian Islands and Southern California. The world's largest international maritime exercise, RIMPAC provides a unique training opportunity while fostering and sustaining cooperative relationships between participants critical to ensuring the safety of sea lanes and security on the world's oceans.
