English: Japanese Naval triple barrel flare pistol, WW2 flare pistol- triple smoothbore four inch barrels (slightly tapered externally); 26.6mm calibre; steel with baked black enamel finish; two-piece black plastic grips; lanyard ring at base of grip; opens with spring-loaded under-barrel release lever; butterfly-type cocking lever at rear of body over a chamber-select lever; safety on left-hand side of body; markings- patent number on left front of body under barrel PAT. - No. 93003 serial number with Japanese arsenal marking on right hand side of frame, Kakura Rikugun Zoheisho (Kokura Army Arsenal)- 3881 Japanese character marks (2) near safety catch Manufacturer- unknown, Japan, WW2
