Author Veterans of the Abraham Lincoln Brigade, original photographer not given. Some photographs in the booklet are copyrighted by Robert Capa, but an explicit copyright notice is only given on one picture, and others (such as that of Robert Hale Merriman on page 7) are verifiably the work of the Photographic Unit of the 15th International Brigade. Works by the U.S. government are also used, such as a Signal Corps photograph of Herman Bottcher receiving the Distinguished Service Cross on page 12.
