English: Air traffic control radar antenna at Orly airport, Orly, France. The large parabolic dish is the LP23 primary surveillance radar. The small rectangular antenna above it is the secondary surveillance radar (SSR). It interrogates the transponder on the aircraft, which sends back a coded signal giving the craft's identity and altitude.
