English: German Navy frigate FGS Niedersachsen (F 208) conducts a replenishment at sea (RAS) operation with the amphibious assault ship USS Saipan (LHA 2) during the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) Standing Naval Force Atlantic (SNFL) 2004. The Standing Naval Force is a squadron of eight to ten destroyers and frigates from different nations in the NATO organization.
