Summary
| Description |
Deutsch: Linz am Rhein: Blick von der Asbacher Straße auf das 1391 erstmals erwähnte Neutor, das östliche der ursprünglich vier Stadttore. Erst gegen Ende des 19. Jahrhunderts dehnte sich die Stadt über ihren mittelalterlichen Kern aus und wurde auch die Landseite der Stadtbefestigung bebaut. Im Vordergrund rechts die Großhandlung Levy Wallach. Links des Neutors ist noch ein ansehnliches Stück Stadtmauer erhalten. Das Fachwerkgebäude rechts davon wurde 1945 durch Kriegseinwirkung zerstört. |
