English: A view of the British frigate Mediator attacking the Flute Menagere and Alexander, 12 September 1782. American War of Independence (1775-83).
Parker describes this set of prints as comprising four plates. Although the dummy sheet is annotated to the effect that the fourth plate is missing, the evidence of the George III catalogue entry, and the original entry on the dummy sheet itself, indicates that only three were ever present in the collection. The other two plates are at RCINs 734095.a and c. George III catalogue entry: Naval Engagement Representation of H.M. Ship Mediator of 44 Guns, the Hon.ble Captain James Luttrell attacking and defeating five sail of the enemy mounting in all 130 guns, on the 12.th of Dec.r 1782, off Ferrol: by D.
