English: "OFFICIAL PHOTOGRAPH TAKEN ON THE BRITISH WESTERN FRONT IN FRANCE. Moving back our heavy guns as the enemy advances".

Comment 1: Shows 8-inch Mk VI howitzer towed by Holt tractor.
286th Battery, 77 Bde, RGA. The photograph was taken on 27 May 1918 when retreating from a German offensive just outside the village of Romain on the way to Fismes.

Identified is Gunner Toy 99566 (Joseph Arthur Toy) in cap above carriage wheel.[1]
