English: The object of this drawing is a mother of Atayal, one ethnic group of Taiwanese aborigines. Mother/ Shiotsuki Tōho/ 1932/ Chosen by Sixth Taiwan Exhibition 中文解說: 描寫穿著簡單的泰雅族婦女閉著眼睛張嘴，痛苦地叫著，一位幼兒像猴子般攀附著上身，腳旁還有兩位也是光著身子的小孩，抓著她的裙子，驚惶失措。母親的身軀側彎成形，雙手僵直，肩膀高聳。母子的背後只見一陣濃煙有如一把銳利的刀子斜切而來，更遠處高山傾斜，岌岌可危。題目雖然僅有一簡單的「母」字，其實卻是當時唯一控訴日軍在霧社事件(1931)中，以強大的軍力鎮壓泰雅族，並且施放瓦斯彈，造成嚴重的傷亡。 母/ 鹽月桃甫/ 1932/ 第六回台展入選 |
