| Description |
Nederlands: Op het herinneringsmonument, dat in april 1985 aan de Balkenweg te Assen werd onthuld, staan in marmer gegraveerd de namen van de gevallen Franse para's. De bres midden in het monument staat symbolisch voor de stootkracht van deze para's, die deel uitmaakten van de S.A.S. (Special Air Service). In het 60e jaar van de bevrijding werd op 7 april 2005 bij dit monument de laatste grote officiële herdenking gehouden.
